Discovery is a journey that our Employment Specialists will lead customers through to help them get started on the right path for them and employment. The Discovery journey will take them through assessments, community interviews with businesses, and consulting with family and friends. The biggest piece of the Discovery Journey is working with the customer to find out their aspirations and goals!
Job Coaches assist in helping customers develop natural supports in the work place. Job Coaches are trained to work with a customer who holds a job but needs a little extra support in their vocational environment. Job Coaches can help support in a variety of ways; develop employment skills, assist in fostering positive interactions, and maintaining positive communication in a work setting.
Job Development support is designed to meet the needs of an individual who wants to access vocational opportunities in their community. The primary goal is to assist customers in finding and maintaining employment that meets their interests rather than just placing them in any opportunity that comes along.
