We currently have several openings for Companion Providers here at The Companion Program. The goal of the Companion Program is to encourage independence and healthy lifestyles by providing 1:1 support to individuals with disabilities who want to participate in social/recreational activities, establish natural supports in their own communities, work on ADLs and IADLs within their homes as well. Based on each customer’s individual goals and interests (Such as making friends, participating in new recreational activities, or learning a new skill), Companion Providers provide the needed support for the individual to be successful and become better self-advocates. Whatever the activity, Companion Providers will ensure that the person they are working with has an enjoyable and empowering experience. Companion Providers will have opportunities to work with a variety of people in diverse settings and, more importantly, they will have the chance to positively impact someone’s life.
Interested applicants should send a cover letter addressing the requirements listed in this posting along with their resume to the Program Director, Kiley Booth @ Kiley@thecompanionprogram.org
